I did 'it' and lived to talk about 'it'
I'm here, I survived a lower body lift.
Plastics are no joke boys and girls. Yesterday I told my anestologist that I was deathly afraid to wake up in pain. She said "don't worry, I'm going to snow you. Thanks for letting me know."
So waking from surgery was a totally different experience from when I had RNY. I remember being in recovery for one. No nausea, no dry heaving, not so much pain...as long as I don't move. I couldn't remember any nurse's name, I had so many nurses come and go....so I made up nicknames for all of them. Curly Top, Shorty, the twins, den mother, etc...
However I did have UNBEARABLE itching EVERYWHERE. They had to add some Benedryl to my IV to ease it.
I was discharged earlier today and have been asleep. My hunger is starting to come back, I have not eaten anything since Thursday night. There's pain, but the vicodin helps. You should see my flat tummy, and my nrrow hips...I can't believe its really me.
More details later, time for more meds.
Thank you all for your good wishes, prayers and encouragement...and Kirsten!!!! WHO is that hot bikini girl??? You made my tummy hurt when I laughed!!
I am so happy for you and I can't wait to see your body. Will you drop your drawers for me like Kirsten did at your surgery anniverity party?
You take good care of yourself. I understand itching, I have this huge one down my spine that is driving me NUTS!!!!
Love you sweetie, Diane
I am so happy for you! I am glad that your surgery minus the pain was a good experience. I wish you an uneventful and fast recovery. Take it very easy. 1 hour at a time. Don't try to ru**** I am sure you look fantastic. You deserve this and so much more.
